The middle button that take you home and the lock button on top hOld both of them for 30-40 seconds Let go and it should be rebooted

I had the same problem but I found out how all you have to do is:

1. Go to C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates if your on windows

2.Copy the update to your desktop (5.0.1)

3.Open redsn0w and click "extras" then click "Select IPSW" find it on your desktop and open it.

4.Now go back to "jailbreak" and try it again.

If this works please tell me.
