not possible, as u may flash it with freeboot 0.32 then go on line but it will be very hard for you since the kernal is 8955.
i guess you have a jasper jtag?

is it harmful to update on xbox live, or should i try to manually do it?

I would listen to him ^^^^ and honestly your probably lucky that you have a jtag as anything above 8xxx dash kernel has been reported as non-jtagable

do not listen to these under or above expect me because you basicly can flash it with freebot 0.32 wich will be hard since the kernal is 8955.
there are also ppl thats sells jaspers today with 8955 in the uk.
also do not update it manualy as u will not have a jtagged system anymore.
