TTG_UnLeashed wrote modzo if you have an nxe dashboard then its unexploitable.. look it up and only some 7371 kernels are exploitable.. the ones with the prenxe dash

Dude, what i'm trying to tell you is that this information is wrong man :/ there is no such thing as a prenxe 7371 kernel. ALL xboxes who are running 7371 kernels have nxe on them. NXE came on kernel update 7357, and ALL dashes after that had nxe.

again, look at the wiki [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

look at 7357, that's where nxe came in at.

To the OP: your xbox is fine.

Okay. Heres the 411. I had (past tense of have) an xbox with the 7371 kernel. I said it was 7838? because I didn't remember the exact kernel. It WAS a 7371. It DID have the NXE dashboard. I brought it back to the pawnshop today and they probably still have it. the question is, and I want a UNANIMOUS DECESION, should I go back and Jtag that xbox or is is not Jtaggable.

MrAngryPants wrote Well. after two long days of searching Rent-A-Centers, Game Exchanges, and Pawn Shops, I finally found an Xbox with a 7000 kernel. (I dont remember the exact number, something like 7831) Ive read up on how to do it and most tutorials said that a 7000 kernel is "ify" and it may have been updated if it is made after june of 09. Well, mine is made in 08 so I hope I am good. I got a Torx 10 screwdriver and ten 100 ohm resistors yesterday. I realized I didn't have a 25 pin printer cable so I am going out today to find one. This is my first "big build" (I have soldered and wired smaller things, but nothing of this magnitude). I guess I just made this to keep you guys informed or if any of you wanted to hear the story and work behind actually building your own Jtagged Console.

Update: I returned it as I thought it WASN'T jtaggable. It was a 7371 kernel. It had the NXE update. It was manufactured EARLY. I don't remember the exact date, sometime in 2007. Should I go back monday and get it or just buy one that is Jtagged?
Good luck man.. that'll be a cool project if you decide to finish it!
