have you tried uninstalling, rebooting, then installing again?

make sure all cords are plugged in and all drivers are working.

what you need to do is plug out everything, then restart PVR + Computer. thats what i did when i had that problem

Restart everything, laptop PVR etc

And record in minimum screen, so total media..... Record it, then minimise it

unplug all of the cable connecting to the hd pvr

Also you can use Total Media Extreme 2 and in lower left corner there is check box where you can turn off it showing your game screen on computer
