Cod 4 and halo 3 I think set off the FPS but my favorite is Mw2 minus the noob tubes,
still playing it to this day

Everyone that continues to snipe still plays MW2 TBH I only liked it for sniping.

and any way cod 4/5 is way better for actually good quality sniping haha if you can snipe on them you can snipe on most games :d

Halo 2 was the biggest impact one of the first good online fps for consoles

Best fps has to be halo 3 forge, theater and really competitive
