oh did you get akk your items bacj from her room in the secret chamber? you get them back then the quest updates, and you have to go to riften, ask around there you can usualy pay dirge (keep walking straighthe's leaning on a post on your left) to tell you where Esbern is, after you know follow the quest marker, oh and if dirge dosent tell you ask around in the bee and barb pub. + rep if i helped.

After you have left the embassy you have to return to the bar in Riften where the woman lives and go to her room and then to the secret room and open the chest where your items are (If you didn't deposit them in your house).

Once doing this you should be finished and ready to progress further into the main quest line.
