Well, that's a problem. If you want headphones that are just as good if not better, then pick up some Xeport 5010s. They're $15.

Otherwise, what are you looking for in a pair of headphones? There are far better options than Beats.

In-Ear - Rap, Hip-Hop, Dubstep. Heavy Bass - iPod/Computer

$200 -
$300 -

On-Ear - Rap, Hip-Hop, Dubstep. Heavy Bass - iPod/Computer
$100 -
$200 -
$300 -

Thanks you

Honestly, I don't know if I'm willing to spend this much time on a single post. However, this is exactly why I made the headphone guide I linked at the bottom of the OP. It covers these budgets and everything in between. There really are tons of options for all the price ranges you listed. If you see something you like, I can tell you more about it. Google is your friend!

Thanks and it was a good guide. I just bought a pair of headphones too from the guides help. I bought a pair of Klipsch x10 in-ears.

Good choice. They're fantastic for bassy genres and the price is very low right now!

Yes they are! I got mine for $118. The x10i's are not out yet and are way much more.

The X10i is identical to the X10 and has been out as long, it just has controls for iDevices. The pricing is wonky because only the one without controls appears to be discounted.

Hey man, picked up the Hifiman RE-0s you recommended, but there's good and bad news. The good news is the sound was amazing, the bad is the left ear stopped working the first day I took them out the house

I've contacted the seller and they've agreed to give me a refund or to send a replacement, it's my choice. I'm thinking of getting a refund and buying a sturdier pair of in-ears, so I kinda need your help for that...

Budget: 100 pounds
Genre: Metal
Type: In-ear
Source: iPhone/Laptop

I pretty much need a decent pair that fit the above criteria and can survive being in my pocket every day at college. Cheers for the help!

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the RE0 is not the most durable IEM out there.

There are quite a few options that have great durability, though, like the Westone UM1, Shure SE215, and Sony MDR-EX510 to name a few. If you're going to be abusing them, though, you may want to go a little cheaper. The Brainwavz M2 is extremely well built all around and is one of the best in it's price range. It also looks fantastic.

EDIT: 2,000 posts, neat!

Budget: 75-100

Music preference: bass heavy rap and rock

Type / form factor and portability: decently portable

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): Closed

Source(s): Ipod
More bass the better
I dont want cliche and terrible beats but something of better value and similar style
I was thinking these?

The DJ PRO100's would be awesome for rock, but what's your definition of bass heavy? And they kind of need an amp.

The Sony XB700 would be awesome if you want bass. The K181DJ is also a great option if you can deal with something less comfy.
