Dang, the coating chips? That's seriously depressing. I just dented my mic and it's been bugging me to no end. I don't think I'd be able to handle chipping of paint because of my freakish OCD.

The PS1, vintage RS1, and HP1 are probably my endgame headphones (heck, I'd sell everything except for the DT48 just for those three). I've heard too much crap about the PS1000's to really consider them unless I get an amazing deal on a good used pair, but they're on my list of headphones to listen to.

The GT-R is a gorgeous car, but the R34 is just so much more appealing for some reason. It's slaughtered by the R35, but the R34 just seems a bit more magical.

Ha! I think Ferrari was one of my first few words since my uncle and I used to watch F1 a lot and Schumacher was huge with us. And yeah...I see quite a few Lambos (probably at least one a month for some reason) and they person behind the wheel looks either like a major tool or lets me pass them in my "slow as molasses" TSX.

After the first chip, it snowballs. Despair is the feeling. I am the third owner, so honestly, I'm still very impressed. They didn't chip when my friend (-PhAZeD-) stole them from me and ran around school with them on until he stopped and they flew off his head. Right on to the floor, flat. Not a scratch!

I can't imagine having a single endgame headphone, but at least one high-end Grado would be in my collection.

I agree, the R34 is radically different, but very similar. I honestly think that I would have to have both. The R34 was my favorite car EVER, and I'd say it's even with the R35. I can't think of two cars I would want more. Sure, I'd want an Anston, Pagani, Ferarri, etc., but there's something that rice burner does so right.

My Volvo 850 wagon.

We have liftoff.

But really, the engine's clogged up. Thanks, turbo.

Heh, doubt Beats would have survived that fall!

The more that I think about it...you're right. In all technicalities, the PS1 would satisfy my bass/metal needs, the HP1000 my jazz/classical needs, and the RS1 my rock needs, but...the DX1000 is just so awesome. And Stax. And a Fostex T50v0 and Yamaha YH1000 would probably be in there too... Sadly, by the time I can afford anything, an R10's drivers would be deteriorated.

Very true. There's just something special and "right" about them in a way that European exotics just can't do.

I've always wanted a Volvo actually. I was thinking of getting an old V70R after college and when I make some actual money (which I'll need to get the thing caught up with maintenance)

One thing you'll notice when you get a Volvo is that THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. They just keep ticking, no matter how many hoses deep in the (very) greasy engine get clogged. All the blockages do is slow it down. There are 850s out there with 1 million miles. I was able to get a ridiculous deal on mine from a family friend, but it came with the need for maintenance. Bad shocks, rattles, oil leaks, little stuff, smelly... Still worth it. Cost more to fix it up than to buy it ($500), but my dad has commandeered it since he likes it so much. He let the dealer have his TL (2006?) back. I just don't need to drive, really, so it's his now.

Or, you could buy more headphones and get a Moped.

I have noticed quite a few Volvos around. They seem so cool and they seem like tanks! My only problem is that I need to drive 11 miles to school everyday so I needed something reliable. I so would have gotten a V70R if I could afford to have it in the shop for a few days.

Having driven an M1A1 Abrams simulator at Ft. Knox (not a toy, the one they train tank drivers on), I can say that the Volvo wagon does IN FACT drive like a tank. Except that the tank uses what are essentially handlebars to drive. Think motor scooter/motorcycle, but with 10000000000 times the badassery.
