hello there i was just woundering on your guys opinion as i though u would be the best to talk ok so i have a gaming pc with phenom x6 at 3.5ghz with radeon hd 6950 and 8gb ram later on in the year i want to upgrade my pc but im sort of stuck and dont know which way to go

path 1 : Buy radeon hd 7970 and keep processor and btw my mobo is only amd compatible

path 2 : New mobo,Intel i7 and Gtx 570?

please reply would be much appreciated

I think intel will be better in the long run but simply adding a 7970 will be cheaper and alot less hassle than buying a new motherboard (which will require you to reinstall windows).

Also the gtx 570 isnt a huge upgrade over the 6950 wheras the 7970 is a huge upgrade.

If it was me I would just add a 7970:)

ok thank you for the reply how about if i didnt buy gtx 570 and kept 6950 with i7?

I think the i7 is probably faster but I dont think you would notice a difference in games.

thanks for the help i think ill just go with the 7970
