so i came home went in heard it beeping so i held the button he light was green and red took the battery out held it and now its green is it safe It was only one fire alarm

Check around for a smoke source or even a fire source. If you look hard enough and you don't find one, you should be safe.

Check out your whole house, you might have a gas leak, that can be fatal, make sure you dont find any smoke/weird gas smell, if not, your fine

miners wrote it was only one firealarm
but that ONE fire alarm may be closer to the source than any other in the house
Just check everything round about or near that, and smell for gas etc.
