Short and simple, (hopefully).
-Windows Vista
-Logging onto temporary's every time turned on
-Been happening for about 1 month now
-Would like to wipe hard drive and start "fresh/new"
Read that files may be broken or something.
&
Would like Windows 7 instead, would there be a problem should I switch?
Specs:
Process - 64 x2 dual-core tk-57 1.90GHz
RAM - 958 MB
System type - 32-bit OS
Edition - Home premium / Service pack 2
I'm all clueless, please help?

If you want to switch to Windows 7, buy a disk or download one and burn it.
Then put it in and restart your computer, boot off the disk and then install Windows 7. It will put your old files in a folder called Windows.old

If you do what he says you will be asked to provide a windows 7 serial key which you don't have obviously. They you will keep getting the blue screen of death because the windows team has made a new programme which provides them with all stolen serial keys and keys which are on the internet and if you install one you will get the blue screen of death simples.

Really now? Wow, you know so much. Not.
All the versions you can find online come pre-unlocked or can be unlocked through one of the various methods/tools online.

Yes they may be unlocked but as your are required to entre a serial number your to activate your windows. And it goes throught a system to phish out any false/stole non genuine windows key like when you use the windows key activator it will say its activate but its actually not you will have your free 30 days trial and they you will be back to windows vista xp

Considering I wasn't 100% sure about this I went ahead and downloaded one of these pirated versions and installed them to a different HDD. After installing, it opened a CMD prompt and when I checked it said it was activated I was also able to update so yeah.
I think I know what you mean though, I read somewhere that there is a certain update which is capable of detecting any unlocking tools on your PC. Or something along those lines, but if you don't do that update I think you should be fine!

Get Windows 7 Home Premium, it's the fastest for machines with 1G ram & it has less bugs than the latest additions. When your done installing that (if you choose to) you will find many programs online, so you can unlock & activate it for free. Please note: Windows XP will run better on your machine, because it requires less memory, than windows 7.

You can upgrade to Windows 7, even though the minimum requirement of RAM for 32bit 1gb I would upgrade to 2gb just to avoid any problems that could occur.
What is the log you get when you login with the temporary profile? I could lead you to a set of instructions on how to fix it before upgrading your OS.
