I've heard very good things about the 3930K but personally I went for the 3960x right away considering they came out at the same time here
The rest of the setup looks nice aswell even though I'm not a big fan of AMD.

Yeah, I can justify my reasons for both of your comments
The 3960x is without a doubt better, however for me double the price is not worth 3MB of extra L3 cache and an extra 100MHz on the stock clock, so the 3930k was the perfect compromisation between it and the 2600/2700k
I was originally going to go with a GTX 580, until i heard the 7970 was on its way and I'd be able to pick one up for the same price that i was willing to spend on a 580 and get better performance, so I took that opportunity and no regrets so far

I was thinking about a GTX 590 xD Not a 580 :p
But yeah, I have a computer similar to this one but with Nvidia cards ( Quad SLI total - 2 x GTX 590 ) and it costed significantly more than what yours did lol
I'm not familiar with AMD cards so can't really say anything about the 7970 but considering it's one of their high-end models I'm sure it's good

Sir, I envy your wealth.
That is NICE! Does it run nice and stable at 5GHz? Do you have the h100 settings on max all the time or what? I know that if they need to those fans can really make some noise...
