JeLY wrote I just got my x10's in the mail and i'm very disappointed. They are great looking and feeling but when it comes to sound I am not happy. They are great at low volume but when I hit high they are very distorted. Which is a very bad thing because on any other headphones they don't do this.

That's not a documented issue with these phones. However, there's a number of things that can be causing this. High-end headphones are extremely revealing of details and flaws in your music. What are you listening from, and what is the bitrate of the sound file? Also, what song is it in particular? Master quality may be at fault. If your music is all ripped from Youtube, that's the bottleneck. They won't sound good on anything.

All my music is 320 kbps and i'm listening to downloaded music from piratebay and i'm listening from my iPod.

There is not a single reason this should happen. What are your other headphones? At this point, it's more than likely a defective pair and Amazon will replace or refund them, assuming you bought them through Amazon.

Well my others are Beats By Dre but I read on reviews this happened to some people too. And no I bought them through ebay.

There's a good chance you should absolutely love the X10 sound, then. They likely sound profoundly different from the Beats. They have different sound signatures, and maybe you don't like the X10 sound signature. All headphones will sound weird to you if you're used to a certain signature.

What do you mean by distortion? Fuzzy? Crackling? Or maybe the highs are just different from what you're used to. If you have Solos, highs will be something totally foreign to you!

Does it rattle?

Honestly, it's more than likely the way these headphones sound. I've personally never heard them, but there's a chance Ishcabible has. You can send him a message, or maybe he will reply in this thread.

The sound signatures are different, so they will present sound differently. Some people say "burn-in" improves sound, but I have reasons to doubt this. If the X10 sound is not for you, sell them for something else. They're infinitely better than Beats, and some of the best IEMs out there for what you want.

By burn-in what do you mean? and they are very clear. But yes they do rattle at high volumes thats the word.

My $20 Koss Portapro doesn't rattle when I turn them up beyond reasonable levels with an Objective 2 amplifier, which is extremely powerful. I also have Klipsch Image S4s, which I frequently used at high volumes and bassy tracks, and I can't recall any rattle. They were also amped. The only rattle I've experienced was when I intentionally destroyed a pair of iBuds with the gain on the O2. It was with bass, though. If the X10s are used, who knows?

I have found a single case of rattle with the X10 online, but nothing more of it. Sounds like a bad pair, but I would get Ishcabible or another person who has had experience with IEMs to offer their opinion.

They were not used I bought them brand new in box sealed. So I don't why they would have a problem.

Well, there's the Shure SRH750DJ, the AKG K181DJ, and the cheaper AKG K518 or Shure SRH550DJ. If I was looking for a DJ headphone at this budget, I'd go with any of these.
