So normally when you try to save as... or browse for a file, it will let you navigate your files, but for some reason my PC stopped showing this, and now I have to manually specify the file location. Is there any way I can set it back to how it used to be?

Windows 7. I was dual-booting Win8, but I didnt like it, and removed it a while back. I dont think it would have anything to do with that.

Whatever tool you used to change the appearance of your OS has most likely messed up one of your system files.
I suggest restoring it to a moment prior to using it or getting used to it lol
