my friend got this old dell desktop that he got around 2006/2007. it was working fine the other day now whenever i turn it on nothing displays on the monitor and the CPU fan seems to be A LOT louder then originally. i know a decent amount on computers i dont want to mess with it much because its not mine. It doesnt seem to go through the POST either it just stays in a weird state of being a vegetable. someone help please lol

The fan bearings could have gone, happened to my old computer. However mine was much older than that one.
Also is the cable completely plugged in for the monitor? Could also be a problem with the one of the computer's pieces, I wouldn't know which one though.

yeah i made sure im using just VGA i took the case off and made sure all the wires were in tight. but i think its a hardware malfunction because i mean it diesnt even go through the POST it just sits there with a loud CPU fan
