Hey my blackberry bold 9000 won't start. It comes up with the loading screen as if it is about to start then when it reaches about 5-10% through the bar it changes to a battery with a red cross through it and a loading bar underneath that reaches to about 70% and just stops. Have tried a different battery and same problem. Also tried to reinstall the software but it can never finish because the last step of the upgrade it attempts to turn the phone on and mine wont turn on. Any help is much appreciated!

If its still in warranty take it to the store you have it through.
If its not then take it to one of the phone shops that does unlocks and stuff and see what they can do.

I just read about the battery thing.
Try this:
1. Open up BlackBerry Desktop Software.
2. Take out battery from your device.
3. Plug in your device without your battery to your PC.
4. Wait and click on update.
5. Once the OS has finished downloading, place the battery back into the unit.
6. Allow the update/reflash to finish.
7. You device will reboot.
