Hey TTG, well I have an iPod touch 2G, and it will play Music from my iHome, and Car, and the Built-in iPod speakers, but when I put Headphones in, I can't hear anything, I tried 4 Different pairs also..
So if anyone can Help, i'll +Rep you 100.

It could be the headphone jack its self though

try moving the head thingy of the headphones around your ipod (bending it around and stuff)

yur headset jack craped out, it happened to mine when i used it alot

hold the back button and the lock botton at the same time until it switches off, it will then restart automatically. this happened to mine until i did that. well hope this helped

It's the pins inside the iPod that connect to the jack of the headphones. It happened to mine and it costs $100 to fix so i just sold mine to GameStop for $57 and bought a new iPod.
