Okay, I have a computer monitor with a dvi-d outlet on the back. I play xbox on that monitor and i have an hdmi to dvi-d cord that i plug in and play with and it works fine. I got a pvr for christmas and wanted to record. So, i bought a component to hdmi converter so that i could plug in the component cables to the pvr, then the component cables from the pvr to the converter. Then i had the hdmi from the cord that i mentioned at the beginning going into the monitor, and it doesnt work. Will someone please help me out and tell me what's wrong? I will +Rep, Thank you

is anything coming up on either of your screens? the monitor or the capture on the computer? if not you may not be able to use that extra adapter with the pvr because it sounds like it is set up right

Either AV splitters or a standard xbox 360 HD cable.
