But if i update wont i lose all my cydia applications and tweaks?

Yes you will loose them but it is worth it. Plus there is an untethered jailbreak already out for 5.0.1

In my opinion if you've got a jailbroken iPhone on iOS 4+, iOS isn't worth the hassle of having to redownload EVERY Cydia tweak/app (you can just get a bunch of the iOS 5 features through Cydia). I'm still on 4.3.3 and don't really have many intentions of updating.

But if you want to, there are some cool things, like iMessage, I would go into Cydia management and write down all the tweaks you've got, and all the Apps you've downloaded.

If you're on a 3rd Gen and have untethered already then I advise you not to, it'll lag more.

i totally agree with you, i was on 4.2.1 until i thought of updating it as it wouldnt let me download anymore, but it still does it. 5.0.1 isnt brilliant but its got some apps on it which others dont such as imessage. if i wass you i wouldnt, keep it on what your on mate

I've been thinking of updating but i probably won't because of having to do EVERYTHING AGAIN, 4.2.1 is good as it is
