I just bought the new xbox and there is really not much of a difference.
Differences:
-Shiny
-Heat sensing buttons
-Small
-Quiet
-WIFI
If you do not have the new xbox, then you need to buy about 50$ worth of cables if you want Kinect, the new xbox comes with everything you will need for Kinect.
