Today something happened that pretty much happens everyday. I got in a Stupid and pointless conversation. Somewhere in the conversation One of my Jock "friends" chirped in and said that there is not one thing that you can get in gaming that will help you in life, none what so ever. Without really thinking it through I objected and said I could name 10 things right of the bat. Some of these might be seen as stupid, some of them make no sense, But sure as hell I got to ten and proved my point!... Sort of...

#1. You have the reactions of a Housefly.

#2. You can lose weight. Believe it or not playing games can actually distract you from being hungry. Oh and then there are all those fitness titles.(Gaming and Fitness do not go well together, they are two good things, but two good things with each other are not always great. Like for instance Alcohol, and driving)

#3. You can crack wall-nuts with you're bare hands! Grrr!

#4. If you enjoy the Final Fantasy series, you can at least write up to 14 in roman numerals

#5. You have the hand-eye co-ordination equivalent of Bruce Lee(God rest his soul) with chopsticks, watch out you flies!

#6. You can take a CD/DVD/Game box, open it, get off of you're couch, remove it from it's casing, Eject the old disc from the console,Place the new disc in the Console, Close it, put the old disc back in its proper casing and Get back on you're couch faster than most people think is humanly possible.

#7. When the power goes out you can say: "You must construct additional Pylons"

#8. You always have something to do in you're down time.

#9. We can speak in secret Gamer languages... F'n n00bs.

#10. You can be a trained master in the art of air-guitaring thanks to a little game called Guitar Hero!

Well.. Looking back I could have just said saying playing games will get you nowhere is really a very stupid thing to say. I mean Gaming is a form of entertainment. Stating that you will get nowhere in life by playing games is basically the same as saying you will get nowhere in life because of watching movies or listening music. The reason we play games is because it gives us what other entertainment cannot. We play the game and we feel part of the creators story. It is a deeper experience than movies and well it's way more fun.
Not taking anything away from movies. They are awesome also but I can never watch a movie on my own. It's almost like a group activity to me.
With games I can play alone and enjoy it but it's just as fun with friends.
