That's because when you joined the game, one of the players (or the host) was german. The knife and the others CSS weapons only spawns in a normal game if a german join it. With the L4D2 mod bypassed, I was able to edit more things than a simple save game. That's how I got it.

The thing is though, i was the host of the game, and it was only myself..

The German part, i already knew about, and i believe you can also obtain a MP7 or some other sort of weapon/s.

Yeah yeah, but the thing is that he doesn't need to be the host, if he joins the game, the weapons can spawn in the game. I also know that it is a server config that, somehow, valve created to get they working even if the german isn't the host

Maybe a german joined your game then left and you haven't noticed, or the game really got glitched and allowed the CSS weapons in your server. What I can say is that I have played the demo alot, and didn't saw the knife even once.

And [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] are all the weapons that can appear. Besides the knife, there are other four german weapons.

PS: These 4 weapons can be spawned using the console, the knife is the only CSS weapon that need a script to work!
