It depends what people call dubstep. Or should I say "dubstep" because it's not actually a real genre of music. None of the new generation shit that people like Skrillex make is either. Dubstep originated from a mixture of dub music, two step beats, uk garage and other genres. The whole idea behind this style of music is the importance of sub bass or bassweight on a track. Mid range frequencies and four bar beats aren't what this genre is all about. Heres some vids to show you guys on what it actually is. Sorry to come across all high and mighty if that's how I seem but as an old school dubstep head I'm just sick of the amount of bad music that gets mis-labelled as dubstep.
