Bigger weights. Mabye 5-10 Is smarter. But dont go to hugh and hurt your self.

If you are lifting wieghts on your arm you wont loose that much fat anywhere. If you want to loose fat and gain muscle then cmobine weight lifting with regular exercise such as running, also if you eat unhealthly then you will not loose that much weight either.

Running is the best way to lose body fat, lifting weights is good,but more than likley you would still gain weight,fat weighs less than muscle.

Those would be just minimum, I go as high as I can, usually 35-40+ curl ups and 30+ push ups. But those are the least I can do. The push ups only make my arms hurt a bit, and curl ups make my stomach hurt a bit.

So 4 lbs on each arm should help lose fat? Would anything be noticeable by June?

The weights wouldn't play a significant role in the loss of fat. As the others said above me, find your max for push ups, sit ups, curl ups, etc. A good workout is swimming. Swimming uses most of your muscles and is a very good workout. Running/jogging on a track or just around a block is also a good workout.

All of these exercises won't mean anything unless you don't eat right. Now don't order those "diet pills", because those are sugar pills and don't do anything. Cut back on chips, soda, ice cream, etc. Start eating more green food and drink water. I don't know a good diet, but I'm sure some good diets are on Google.

Look up p90x. its weight free and will get you loosing weight fast.. you HAVE to do it everyday though and you cant cheat at it, or your doing no good at all..

eat a salad every few days (not with thousand island dressing! all that is is ketchup, mayonaise, and bacon bits, it does not belong on a salad!) stop drinking soda and eating junk food, do 25 situps and 25 pushups each day, this will help lose stomach fat, grow arm muscles, and if you weigh 135 ibs, and you can do pushups, i think you can curl more than 4 ibs, i think your dad was calling you weak but not giving it away when he said you should do 4 ibs, and also, walk around a few blocks each day, slowly progress to walking faster, then slowly jogging, and do it during the night if you feel insecure about people watching, unless you dont wanna trip in the dark

4lb weights?.... That's not enough. If you wanna get rid of body fat you have to do high intensity workouts so after the workout you still burn calories. This is called the "afterburn effect". If your going for a six pack my friend do abs too. Tell your dad to get you a gym membership so you can workout daily. Do different parts of your body each day.

Ex:

Day 1: Arms & Shoulders

Day 2: Chest & Back

Day 3: Legs

Day 4: Etc....


Also when trying to lose belly fat go on a diet also. Just make sure you get your protein and carbs each day (you don't want to many carbs).

wait 4lbs and your 14........... you should atleast be able to do 10 on each hand..... i know a 100lb pound girl skinny as shiiit and can do more than that... she is 14 too... that said kid,,

Weights don't help you lose weight.

Do a stationary bike. Running hurts your joints, especially if you are slightly overweight.

no no you need to join a gym and do everbody part and do 1 or 2 body parts 6 or 7 times a week like monday biceps and shoulders,tuesday triceps,wendsday back,thusday ,and friday legs, and you can either take off during the weekend or do a body part again during the weekend or just do cardio. remember to take your protien shakes no later than 30 min after a workout and try carb cycling and eat health and you should gain muscle and burn some fat. hope this helps
and 4 pound only? thats pretty bad im 16 and i do sets with 40 pound dumbells
