So my extra elite has e74, I can turn it off and on about 5 times than it works like a charm or if i tap rather hard near the disk drive. Weird huh? lol

So i figure its most likely the ana or hana chip.

Can I take it apart and apply new thermal paste and voila! It's working? Or will it require a reflow after I take it apart?

Any help is appreciatted, I know +10 isnt much but I will rep those who provide a decent answer.

dunno i have same prob took it apart and heated it up woth hair dryer..

try the thermal paste it may work
