xSensationz wroteNo, thats where your wrong. Music is by definitionMmxefemel wrote Im going to say it... Dubstep isnt music. IT just isnt. Its meant for immature kids who just like to listen to loud noises. I write music, i play guitar, and the sound that comes out of the guitar is what invokes feeling and emotion. Thats what music is supposed to be. From famous Jazz musicians to Classic Rock and modern day heavy metal, they all make you feel something. Dubstep doesnt do any of that. Dubstep is along with that stupid "Push button to make sound" genre.
everyone is entitled to their opinion on what "music" is. You don't decide what people consider music, they do so GTFO
The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.. Dubstep isnt music. Its noise. It does not express emotion, and has no beauty, and there are no instruments. The so called "instruments" are pre-programmed audible emissions coming from a computer. You lose. You can GTFO, and Dubstep is a fad. You along with your little kid fad will die out one day, and no one will miss it.

its not going to be produced like that because technology has advanced since then. If you are into Beethoven, that's fine with me. Dubstep IS music, so get over it and stop acting so immature.

In all fairness, dubstep is made by combining electronic noises in a way that's rhythmical and flows in a way in which harmonies and melodies are formed, albeit in a form most people aren't accustomed to. It's damn hard to make a good song. I tried to make one and even after 3 hours, I ended up with crap, where in contrast, I was able to BS an etude of about 25 measures with piano accompaniment (granted, most of it was chord progressions and ascending/descending confoundery) for my Honors Band project in about an hour and it apparently was good enough for an A (mostly because it ended up being a bugger to actually play). For that reason, I respect people that can make good dubstep. They're far more skilled than I in that particular field of instrumentation.
The point is, it's not exactly fair to not consider dubstep as not music (saying it's not fair game because it involves pre-programmed audible emissions from a computer is asinine. Should Robert Moog not be considered a player in the instrument industry because he made the Moog synthesizer? That involves pre-programmed audible emissions and being an electronic instrument, it's harder to convey emotion since it sounds, well, like a synth.), because it contains the basic principal of organized structure, but to consider it a superior form of music involves copious amounts of substances.
I personally like to call dubstep "algorithms."
I've never really liked dubstep at all, but I also don't like people saying it isn't music. If I can learn to play 5 different instruments (albeit, only two of them--saxophone and piano--well enough to play in public), nail Flight of the Bumblebee in only 10-15 hours of practice, and not be able to even grasp the concept of making electronic music, I should probably not diss the people that make it.

For people saying dubstep isnt music of course it is its a genre of music and so is classical you cant just call it noise, and the reason its crammed with dubstep is because young people are into it and this site is filled with young people

I tried siding with you on my above post, but this tempts me to delete it. Are you trolling? Sheets are the ideal method of transposing music. How the hell else are we supposed to show music notes? If you want sheets to die off, well, you have absolutely no grasp on the music industry.
And you're the one acting immature and ignorant, posting irrelevant comments without any type of backing.
