Ok, as most of you guys know you can put your xbox save game onto your pc version of skyrim and visa versa. So lets say I have a lightsaber mod and my pc version, make one of them, and then transfer the save file to my xbox. would the item still be there? I really want someone to try this and give feedback. much appreciated.

Feral wrote No that wouldn't work.
It would probably help if you explain why it wouldn't work.

The point is it wouldn't work. It wouldn't work because it's a mod that works for the skyrim pc version only. If you would try to transfer the pc version mod to Xbox your Xbox would either freeze or experience major errors...

It wouldn't work because the mod changes the files in the game directory, and for the Xbox that is CD and to play custom CDs you need a JTAG or a flashed xbox.

if you made a iso with the mods init you could use it betheseda has not signed the ini files so iso mods a possible or xkey though it would be best to test on a jtag first to save wasting disc's . but if you just did it through the save game method it would fail cause you dont have the mods texture files to call from so the game would load but anything that was added that isnt in the retail game would not be their.

The mod isn't a save game. It's the actual game files.
If you had a JTAG you could probably run the modded files though.
I may try it later.
