I forgot what it is called but if you put aluminum foil, or even electric tape over the heatsinks, it increases airflow.

people do it all the time. not everyone uses foil. people use cardboard too. that along with 12v fan more and the xbox will stay cool.

I don't personally use it my falcon never goes over 45 in anything, but it is proven to work and doesn't cause any harm to the console.

i never said the aluminum foil thing wouldn't work, i just thought it was a little weird is all. i might actualy try it though if fans aren't enough. my room is VERY VERY hot. its small and heats up very quickly with an xbox and computer running. so if i dont get my xbox down to a reasonable temp soon, its bound to explode or something when summer time comes. same thing with my computer actually i built it in the winter a few years ago and it never crossed my mind that i might need a few extra fans or possibly even liquid cooling when summer comes. actually, throughout my endless typing i thought of a genius idea! liquid cooling my jtag! thank you self
if that'll work lol.

CPU and case=fine.
GPU should be lower.
MEM is surprising hot!
I would recommend getting a whisper Legacy fan.
This fan replaces the original fan and is 100x better.
I did a little test on a 2006 Xenon console a while ago.
The CPU temp was 78C-79 degrees, GPU was exactly 70 degrees, and I believe the Memory ( MEM ) was 70-80 degrees too.
I then decided to install the Whisper Legacy fan. I turned on the Nitro mode, which makes the fan to run faster. After 2-3 hours of playing I backed out to FSD and checked the temps. The CPU was 32-33 degrees hot, GPU was exactly 35 degrees hot and MEM was 40C hot.
Great temps.
