Twisted Metal for the playstation was one of my first console game purchases and the series remained my favorite throughout all it's releases.
As others have said the biggest complaint is the removal of the individual character's story lines. That was the reason you kept playing TM was to see the twisted endings for each person! Now you have 3 story characters to choose from and an extra 4th that has no story. Even though there's only 3 to see I'm still enjoying how they play out, very reminiscing of the other games.
Not only were the individual storylines removed but the car selection seems limited. When you start comparing there seems to be two "types" of each car with just a slight difference. One car is really fast with hardly any armor and a very powerful special and then there's another car just like it but with a little more armor and a slightly less special power. The differences will probably only matter in serious multiplayer but the average player won't notice the difference.
With those negatives out of the way all I can say is FINALLY, the glorious chaotic car combat king Twisted Metal is back! Honestly even though I'm upset about the individual stories I believe Twisted Metal was worth the wait. The gameplay is satisfying and challenging even on normal. While older twisted metal games would just increase the amount of opponents to kill with each level, this new TM introduces new challenges in order to stay alive while destroying your opponents for each level. What little story there is has some character secrets that older TM players will catch and find interesting.
For those of you that have played the other TM's I made I video on how the game starts up and the Sweet Tooth Intro.
Sadly this video was supposed to be a commentary, but my mic recently broke. I just uploaded the video for everyone to see. Read the description for more info.
Hope you enjoy the video it took me awhile to render and upload.

Yea, that's my bad I just noticed too. I was going to post in PS3 General because I didn't see a Game Reviews section. Also, it doesn't allow me to make a new thread in Game Reviews, so can a mod move it for me.

No a mod won't move it you have to have a good review to get it in there post it here Forums/t=2935189/post-your-own-reviews.html
And if it is good enough you will get it in the review section/
