Every time I drag a clip that I recorded with my PVR into sony vegas it stops working and crashes. If you could please help you'll get rep.
NOTE* I've re installed it my quicktime, flash, etc.

Happened to me too, you have to reboot your computer.

you maybe have to clear everything of your sonyvegas folder and uninstall it and reinstall it.
if its not working then try sony vegas 9 or 11
if its not working then try sony vegas 9 or 11

I would try converting the file into a different format and see if it gives you the same problem.
