Not sure. I don't know about the lower-end Sennheiser gaming products, but the higher-end ones are actually fairly good.

Ok thanks.

Check out the Audio Technica AD700 for gaming, though. You can get them to work with a console, I believe.

What are you talking about? I never recommended getting Beats, and specifically said to avoid them at all costs.

I'd save quite a bit of money and get the Xeport 5010 for $15. They're available from Xeport's site, and the best bang for your buck IEM out there.

Type: Headphones
Give me multiple suggestions
Something with good punchy bass and crisp sound

Im also looking for ways to make my xb500s better the bass is too over done any idea's?

You can EQ the bass down. If you have an iPod Touch, you can buy EQu to do that.

But for $100, there's the Creative Aurvana Live!, Koss DJ100, KRK KNS6400 (might not have enough bass), and AKG K181.

Arn't the AT m50s good? for my music preference?
Also my friend wants a gaming headphone for his ps3 his budget is 300$
Thanks!

If you can find an M50 in your price range, by all means, get them! I haven't been keeping too much track of its prices. Last time I checked, they were $150, so I didn't even think of them. Even though I'm not its biggest fan, it'll beat out most of those for your music choices. The K181 is iffy, but the M50's will be more comfortable; the KRK's sound a bit better, but they aren't as bassy if you like a lot of bass.

For your friend, the AKG Q701 is among the best headphones you can get for gaming. He'll get called a hack for sure.

Take a look here:

Your friend can probably get a Mixamp and mic for around $300.

I don't think the Mixamp is powerful enough for the Q701. I've had this come up before, and I think the Audio Technica AD700 would be better. It has the same redeeming qualities for gaming that the Q701 has, but it's cheaper and easier to drive. There's also one of the few good "gaming" headphones out there, the Sennheiser PC360.

If they're going to only be used for gaming, a Mixamp would be enough (an iPod's power would be enough). For music, it's sketchy.

I'd like to say something about beats... I've had 20$ skull candys and then beats and there isn't much different but they do good at keeping away outside noises. Ya so don't buy beats. I have the studios, more of just fashion

Budget:$100

Music preference: a bit of rock/metal, but mostly dubstep/dance/electro now

Type / form factor and portability: I want earphones, but not in-ear ones. I'd like ones similar in style to the original iPod type. Also, If they could come with a microphone/iPhone compatibility, it'd be brilliant.

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): N/A

The Yuin PK2 or PK3, Sennheiser MX580, and Blox M2C are some good earbuds under $100. Personally I wouldn't spend a lot here, but that's just me. Also not sure about iDevice controls.
