Hey so Im new to minecraft and just wanted to ask a few things. At the moment im playing the free singleplayer version, is this anything like the premium multiplayer version? Also just a general question, what is the game all about as far as objectives go? And finally, is there anyway to get the game for free e.g modding or using a gift code stuff like that. Just a wonder, please help!

Singleplayer is like multiplayer, except theres more players. You cant get full version from modding. You can gift people though.

The free single player is the earliest version of minecraft, a lot more has been added for the payed version.

You can't craft in the free version, and there aren't anywhere near as many different types of blocks you can place as you get with the payed version. But it's only about 17 pounds (not sure how much in any other currency), and i'd say it's worth it.
