I just bought Fallout: New Vegas and so far it seems to have nothing to do with Fallout Three. Is that true and is it still a good game anyways?

Yeah it really has nothing to do with Fallout 3, it just keeps the same kind of gameplay. From what I've heard it's still a good game.
