Hey guys, I think I have a pretty good idea about a website I would want to start up but I have no idea what I would need to get it up(not talking about Viagra haha jk) and keep it running. Lets say it's a site just like ebay. What would I need to get it set up? I won't be doing it alone but I'm just trying to get a better picture painted in my head about what it would take. Also if anyone has even a guesstimate about the cost that would be great. So if anyone thinks they have an idea please post below.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Well yeah but right now I'm just trying to get an idea of what I need. Not trying to set it up instantly just want a clearer picture. Like how does Ebay stay up and running? What kind/how many servers etc.

You would need a domain name, and quality host.
Many paid hosts have the additional option to purchase domain names too.
GoDaddy is a good host.

Thank you and + rep coming your way but it can't be quite that simple, is it? I mean obviously I'll have to design the webpage too but i mean aside from that and the host there has got to be some more stuff to it, right?
