Dont like the look of the xbox retail because of the cpu cooler but the slim looks sick!!

painting the metal casing is a bad idea that's going to cuase more overheating

no its paint, only on the under side.
i used ahesive stick pads all under the board to prevent it from
warp/bending and causing rrod.
the screws absorb some of the heat on the case.
anyways temps never get above
50 for cpu and 35 for gpu.
the case is always at 27-39C

also look into coolermaster vortex its. small and fits in the box with out the fan.

it was hard as **** cuz it was my first time.
but i found if you use heatgun/hairdryer it helps it sretch and
if you make a small liquid solution (water with a lil soap drop) and spray it will stick even better and it will be eaiser to get rid of the air bubbles.
