This is my first attempt at a background. A couple months back I saw a youtube video that had the boxes where he organized his icons so I always wanted a background like that. I made two versions, one with a stroke thingys and one without. I think the one without lines looks a little better but the lines still looks kinda cool. Anyways, here they are:
Revised
Without the lines
With the lines

First off like the one without the lines better so I'm gonna be rating that one, way too monotone and purple is a bad color to go monotone on, make the background more black or at least a much much darker purple, only put a very slight purple color on the pictures and I think that'll look better, and finally make your name a different color than your background (so if you made your background a black + dark purple make your name a lighter purple with the black detail, also keep the stroke it makes it look more of like a frame

Thanks for actually responding, I changed up the colors a bit to try follow what you said but I don't know if it turned out good. Anyways, it's back in the original post.

Look's way better in my opinion, I like the blue and purple, not much more I can think of unless you want to change the entire background from the clouds

I was thinking about that but this was my first background and I had no idea what to do with it. I knew the clouds would be a start, at least, so I added those, but then had no idea where to go. I tried messing around with fractals and C4D's but like I said, I didn't know how to incorporate it. Do you have any ideas for what I could put in the background?
P.S. Thanks for actually helping!

Hmmm I would reccommend downloading a GFX pack from the resources thread, and from there put in some textures to your background, mess around with filters, and color balance, most packs there also should have glow renders/c4d renders so you can use those and mess around with layer styles/properties taking a glow render and putting it on linear dodge (add) usually makes it work well with backgrounds if you can find the right glow render
Hope I helped!
