It's very good for a first background but there is a few things you could improve but even the best artist always can improve so just remember that, the gradient at the bottom is too small and it would look a lot better bigger and you should make the background into a gradient but it still looks fine and you could also add a pattern to the background but except from that you have made the text well and the effects are quite cool

maybe add a bit more color and include some more things...But it is really great! 8/10
