How do people have Gold Elite title?

I have been in many games, and I notice that there are many people with the Gold Elite title when their clan level is 1. How did they do that?

they were in another clan that had it and they probally left and had it

when you are in a clan you have to open up callsigns and click elite clan title

Its the default Title, til' your clan gets to a high enough level to change the title.

no, the default title is blue, not golden. i was wondering this as well
