I have been told IW & treyarch cannot be bothered i guess i think they haven't patched it because the game would be more or likely dead.

Probably not the game is still great but as it was officially said that the main focus is to complete modern warfare 3 rather than trying to fix cod4. Mainly as mw3 has many more users than cod4
