when i try turn my iphone 4s off it goes off and then just turns it self back on anyone know a solution to fix this?

Jailbroken or not? If so, have you got activator? If you have activator have you got reboot assigned to long hold? If you have remove it by pressing the X next to the option at the top and then scroll down to the system actions part and select power down.

1. Your sleep button could be faulty
2. If its jail broken it could be a tweak
3. Try a restore to the 9a406 5.0.1 software

Sounds like the power button is getting stuck. Take it into your local apple shop and tell them the problem as I am no expert.
