i downloaded alteriwnet for mw2 last night and it was running pretty successfully until this morning, now it is saying steam must be running to play this game. I went and installed steam and tried running the game whiles steam was open but not with the game in steam, that didnt work so i then tried adding the game to steam and that still didnt work. Anybody know why this is happening and how to stop it, any help is much appreciated and if someone has a solve for this you can have rep thanks

ah i had that problem sometimes try to open it and close it until it stops saying that

Well , I have the problem it wont download the update but you need to Go C:/Program Files/Steam/Common Apps etc find mw2 And run the brown colored icon (btw the file locatrton isnt accurate. If you have a RIP from AIW it many have to be configured
