Right, so yesterday I was playing Fifa 12 and my brother wanted to use the TV with his girlfriend. So I left him to it, and now there's something wrong...

I went today to go onto the Xbox and for some reason it wouldn't come up on my HDTV. I tried the HDMI on my laptop, my brothers PS3, and my brothers Mac. It all worked fine apart from on my Xbox. SO I'm presuming its not a problem with the HDMI.

So I contacted Xbox and they told me to try AV cables, I tried that and it didn't work. I tried it through a standard TV and it came up for a split second and went again until you reset it.

Now, they told me I had to spend 75.00 on getting it fixed and that is outrageous. I've had:

- The red rings.
- The open tray error.

and now this. If anyone knows what this problem is, so I can research a fix. Or they know a fix, than let me know and if it works ill be happy to pay via Paypal.

Thanks

Its not cheap to want to have something last like it should.
Old consoles never died, i can safely know i i hook up my Sega megadrive, Ps1 or Snes , or what ever to my TV they will play first time everytime. unlike todays consoles.

im not sure what may be causing the problem but something it may be could be if theyved messed with the Mhz settings perhaps as some TVs wont display on certain ones or display incorectly.

May also be worth trying to gentley clean all the ports to ensure alls well when connecting

Are you still getting audio?
Before you buy anything new, you should unplug everything (including your tv), and give them 30sec - 1min before plugging back in. By everything I mean unplug HDMI and power cable for both the TV and Xbox. Wait, then plug everything back in before turning them on. It could be that your TV needs reset, because it isn't recognizing the xbox video. I've had that problem with my PS3 before, when switching it b/w diff TVs.
