try getting a new modem had same problem and always lagged but i got new modem now it works like a charm no lag either

I would suggest buying a netgear router linksys router or something different because that router is the bad brand to use any cannot withstand the bandwidth of most internet connections.
try putting a router closer to your xbox or your other wireless devices this should increase your strength.
most likely I think is the router or you're in the provider because I never heard about that type a router before.

If your streaming videos on your PC all day or downloading things this could be the reason why and even if you're not doing any of that now it could be because you've done it before so your Internet service provider slows down you internet because you were or are using to much KBs.

hope you got it fixed if not. another problem might be if you are using wireless alot of times it does it to me and usually having wired fixes it

If you're using wireless go buy an ethernet cord and plug in directly
