Family Guy Video Game! is an action-adventure video game based on the animated television series Family Guy. It was released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PSP in North America on October 16, 2006, in Europe on December 1, 2006 and in Australia on November 3, 2006. The game was developed by High Voltage Software and published by 2K Games.

Well the games setting was pretty good, but it wasn't really that great, it was a basic kinda non-freeroam, it had over 20+ levels Which were all pretty good, the game did come out in 2006 so i was expecting some sort of amazing setting, but the setting really let down the rest of the games Pros. Like the characters for one were great. Overall the setting wasn't to great but if you love family guy as much as i do, then you'll learn to put up with it.

Dont let the cover fool you, Out of Peter,Chris,Brian,Stewie,Lois and meg. You can only play as Peter,Stewie And Brian. Which for me was dissapointing i was waiting the whole game to do a level with chris or lois, not meg. And the level never came, never the less the characters you can play as do have some pretty good skills unique to the level. For instance Peter is seen as a Brute, with alot of strength, but because its peter.. You just go through city's attacking everything and anything in his path, You also as you go through the game he changes his outfits, at one point hes even dressed as a prostotute which was pretty fun because it brings out the stupidity he has in the TV series. Stewie is seen in a Mad-Scientist view, With his number of advanced alien type lazer blaster which can be upgraded. He also uses a mind control gadget which he uses on some pretty powerful people. And finally Brain taking a stealthy turn in the game, Brain goes through the game trying to avoid people and fooling them, but he has one weakness. His need to pee. If you stay near certain scenery to long he pee's on it which causes you to get detected, which i thought was pretty funny. Overall i thought the gameplay was pretty good, i had quite alot of fun playing it, and i hope soon they bring out another.

Okay so eventhough this game came out in 2006 the graphics were pretty sick, the visual was great, also the funny stuff your character you could do was funny, they went all out with the graphics and it really payed off, the graphics now would be concidered half-decent but because the game is in a 3rd person view the games graphics looked pretty good. Overall the graphics were funny and brilliant.

The controls were pretty good and unique to each character. Like Peter would be all out fighting controls, stewie would be a more precise with shooting and being able to double jump, and brain could only really just move and crawl. Overall the controls were great, the way the controls changed for the 3 characters was a brilliant idea, i certianly had fun playing this game!

The game received mostly negative reviews. The review collation site Metacritic gave the Xbox version a score of 53%, the PSP version 52%, and the PlayStation 2 version 51%. X-Play gave the game 3 out of 5, mentioning Brian's levels as a weak point, and suggesting that there is little to recommend in the game beyond its humor. The Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine gave it a 3 out of 10 score, the main problems being broken AI, frustration and repetitive objectives. Another UK based PlayStation magazine, PSM3, gave it a 48 out of 100, with criticism toward uninspired levels, restrictive controls, and obscure references being the main reason for panning it. Game site IGN gave the game a 4.1 out of 10. However, it did win the "Best Cast" Award in 2006 on Spike TV's Video Game Awards.

Overall this game was pretty amazing, could have used a better setting, but it kinda worked out with the levels unique to the character. So all in all a pretty good game, and probably my favourite TV show aswell. If anyone is interested in this game you could probably get it for about a 1 or $1.
