Hey guys I need opinions on the AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.40 GHz processor, I'm really thinking about buying it but I need two questions answered.
1. Bang for my buck?
2. How long is this going to last for gaming and light video editing?
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.40 GHz
8 GB 1600 MHz Ram
6870 1 GB
2 TB

I bought myself the 955 over the summer, and It's pretty good, I dont do video editing but I play games and my 955+GTX460se has had no problems with any kind of game I've thrown at it. It played Crysis 2 on extreme at a solid 40 fps.
But you should be fine with that cpu, maybe a light overclock just to be sure.
If anything I'd recommend you get one of the new FX series processors

Have you looked at the 960T?
You have a chance of unlocking 2 more cores making it a 6 core processor and I have seen people overclock to 4.2 Ghz stable!
I think the 960T has the most bang for the buck.
