I don't think there is a LEGAL way to get it free if even an illegal one.

You can't get it for free unless you have a flashed xbox

minors these days are so wrong smh, you can get it for free
at thetechgame.org but you need a jtag, or you can download and burn it which
will require a flashed xbox 360
