So my friends drive willl not read a disc. we have taken it apart ordered a new laser. removed the anti solder stuff and it will still not work.. sometimes it will spin for a long time and then go to open tray others it will spin once stop and go to open tray.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Happens all the time with the consoles I get in. It is usually the motor for the laser. It's best to just get a new drive from my experience. A whole lot easier too.
