A Nebraska woman has sold a chicken nugget that she says looks just like George Washington, the country's first president, for $8,100 on eBay.

Bidding on the presidential poultry ended at 11:30 a.m. Monday, the Sioux City Journal reported.

Rebekah Speight claims she found the patriotic chicken bit three years ago while treating her children to "99-cent McNugget Tuesday" at a local McDonald's.

Speight said she almost trashed it, but then noticed the distinguished forefather gazing up at her, according to the Huffington Post.

"I looked down at the McNugget and just started laughing," she told the Sioux City Journal. "I saw this portrait of George Washington staring back at me."

The nugget has sat in Speight's freezer for three years, only emerging for show-and-tell with house guests until recently, when George "McNugget" Washington was "called to a higher purpose," Speight wrote in the eBay listing.

She listed the nugget on eBay as a way to raise money for children at the Sioux City Family Worship Center who will attend summer camp later this year. The church is trying to raise $15,000 to send 50 children to the camp, the Sioux City Journal reported.
