The aim of the extraordinary social media campaign Kony 2012 is to ``make Kony famous, and it is already well on the way to achieving its goal.

A documentary on the leader of the Lords Resistance Army and his alleged war crimes in Uganda has gone viral this week after being posted on the internet by humanitarian group Invisible Children.

The documentary has resulted in thousands pledging to help on Kony 2012s day of action, Cover the Night, which is on April 20.
