Can anybody help? I'm new to bf3 and want to snipe, what's the best class and tactics?

Depends on your play style , like do you like close combat action or prefer to stay back away from the battle and snipe ?

On mw3 I usually quick scope but I wouldn't mine camping

M98B, L96, and SV98 are probably the best snipers.
It's up to you though, Pick what you like best. Ya know, What matches your play style.
But if your going to run around, and be aggressive, use something like the G18 as your secondary.
The best thing to do is experiment. Just because a certain class works for one person doesn't mean it will work for everyone. :]

If you snipe alot make sure you give all of your team sniper coverage, I love sniping and have a service star on all snipers but it doesnt help the objective.
Also get a really long headshot so that you can brag about it:D
